Tri-Valley “On the Go” Will Visit Area Communities to Learn about Needs and Strengths

(Crookston, Minn.)- Tri-Valley staff will be “On the Go” in October to conduct community forums in Warren, East Grand Forks, and Ada. In the past, community forums have been held in a set location in the community. With a desire to engage more community members, and to learn more about needs and strengths to specific communities, Tri-Valley has taken this “On the Go” approach.

Tri-Valley staff will arrive on T.H.E. Bus and there will be a table with program information. Residents are invited to stop and visit with staff, check out T.H.E. Bus, and take any information they would like. Staff will also be canvassing the community and stopping at local businesses to visit with owners and customers about potential and perceived needs and strengths in the community.

Tri-Valley “On the Go” Schedule:

October 10 – Warren (10 am) (Centennial Park)
(A “Meet the Bus” event will be held as well with Tri-Valley Transportation staff).
October 10 – East Grand Forks (1 pm) (Hugo’s)
October 12 – Ada (10 am) (West Main Pizza)
(A community forum will be held in Crookston that will tie into the open house for the Fournet Building at a future date)

Tri-Valley utilizes a two-year strategic planning process that includes community surveys and community forums. The information gathered is translated into a community needs assessment that the Tri-Valley Board utilizes to identify the top priority needs in the service area. Tri-Valley’s community forums focus on the needs of the service area, community needs, community strengths, and existing and potential services offered by Tri-Valley.
