The National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association Parent Affiliate Training and Elections were held on February 21, 2014 in Tysons Corner, Va. Maria Gonzalez, Tri-Valley Migrant and Seasonal Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council President was elected as the Vice President of the National and Migrant Seasonal Head Start Association Parent Affiliate. On Saturday, February 22, 2014 Maria was also elected as the National Migrant and Seasonal Board Member At Large. Maria has served on the Tri-Valley Migrant and Seasonal Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council for the past two years representing the Owatonna center.
The 2014 National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association Annual Conference was also held February 23-25 in Tysons Corner. Tri-Valley Migrant and Seasonal
Policy Council Maria Gonzalez (President), Diana Escamilla (Secretary), and Teresa Luque (Ad Hoc to the Board) attended the conference.
