Early Learning Scholarships

New applications for Early Learning Scholarships are now available for eligible families. We encourage all eligible families to participate.

Each of the applications posted are the most current and may be used to apply for a scholarship.  Families that applied in the past but were not awarded must apply again for this new season of scholarship funding.  Awarded children do not need to apply again.

Eligibility requirements for applicants:

  • Resident of Minnesota
  • Have at least one child that is 3 or 4, (younger siblings are also considered when they attend the same program as the 3 or 4 year old).
    •   OR  a younger child with a parent under 21 and seeking a GED or high school diploma
  • To be eligible for an Early Learning Scholarship, the family must have a household income equal to or less than 47 percent of the State Median Income OR must be receiving assistance from an approved state or federally funded program: free and reduced-price meals, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), Food Distribution on Indian Reservations, Head Start, Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), Supplemental Nutritional Aid Program (SNAP), Foster Care, or Child Protection. You will need to demonstrate your financial circumstances; for example, if the child participates in a public program, you will be asked to upload proof of participation. If you have income, proof of income.
