The Polk County Family Resource Centers is a safe and welcoming space for all, providing access to community resources that support family strengths and is parent and caregiver driven.

Our Family Resource Centers are here to provide information on community resources, referrals to services, or assistance with the completion of applications and other paperwork. All services provided by Family Resource Centers are free to the public.

LOCATIONS:

Crookston FRC110 N. Ash Street (Crookston Public LibraryMon: 4-6 pm, Tues: 10 am-12 pm, Wed: 1-3 pm, Thurs: 10 am-12 pm.
Washington School FRC724 University Ave. (Crookston)Mon & Wed: 9 am – 12 pm, Tues & Thurs: 1 – 4 pm
East Grand Forks FRC1505 Central Avenue NWTues-Thurs: 10am-5pm
Fertile FRC101 S. Mill St.Wed: 1-4 pm, 1st and 3rd Wed: 10 am – 12 pm

FRC core services are based on the 5 Protective Factors:

  1. Parental resilience
  2. Social connections
  3. Concrete support in times of need
  4. Knowledge of parenting and child development
  5. Social and emotional competence of children

At the Family Resource Center, we are seeking members from all diverse family backgrounds within our Polk County community to direct the work we are doing to strengthen our families. A well connected and strong community starts with strong families. We need your voice at the table to make sure we are providing the best resources available as well as developing ones not yet in place. We are seeking eight members who are willing to commit to four meetings per year, provided via zoom. Each attendee will be awarded a $60 stipend per meeting attended.
