CROOKSTON, Minn. — The public is invited to step inside something new. Tri-Valley Transportation Programs will host an open house celebrating its new bus garage on Wednesday, May 27, from 2–4 p.m. at 1430 Guthrie Street in Crookston.
Community members are encouraged to tour the newly built facility, see where Tri-Valley buses call home, and learn how the modern space supports safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation.
As demand for transit services continues to grow, it’s not uncommon to see up to eight Tri-Valley buses operating simultaneously on city streets during the week. The new garage will house five propane fueled buses, reinforcing Tri-Valley Transportation Program’s commitment to sustainability and positioning the program as one of the first public transportation systems in Minnesota to transition to low emission vehicles.
The 9,105 square foot building features seven drive through bays and provides indoor storage for up to 14 Class 400 transit buses. A dedicated wash bay has also been incorporated to support long term fleet maintenance and care.
As an added bonus, guests can get up close with a propane powered bus—and even take a short ride to the transit office building to see the propane filling station in action.
Come curious, bring a friend, enjoy refreshments, and help us celebrate. Tri-Valley Transportation Programs looks forward to welcoming the community and showing off its newest investment in public transit.
